Nick graduated from Manchester University in 1973 and joined Cooper & Lybrand ( now PriceWaterhouseCoopers ) Birmingham Office as a Trainee Accountant. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1976 and progressed to Senior Manager with responsibility for the Audits of a number of PLC’s
During the 1980’s he moved into industry and this period of 10 years gave him an invaluable insight into the practical issues and problems of an Accountant’s life outside the profession.
He joined Lancaster & Co in the early 1990’s and became an equity partner in 1993. He was senior partner for 10 years until 2015 when he became a Consultant to the Practice.
Nicks wealth of practical experience continues to prove invaluable to enable existing and new clients to deal with the constantly changing complexities of their business and financial lives. He continues to have a close involvement with many client families and acts as Trustee and Executor on their behalf.
Areas of Specialism
Personal Taxation, the tax aspects of personal financial planning, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax compliance and planning, developing the use of Family Trusts and dealing with the day to day accounting issues faced by small and medium sized owner managed businesses.
When he is not working Nick enjoys time with his wife and two daughters who occasionally let him indulge in his passion for mountain biking.
