As of 2018 every business must offer an auto-enrolment pension scheme for qualifying employees.
Eligible employees must be between 22 years old and state pension age, working in the UK and earning £10,000.00 per annum (during tax year 2019-2020). Any workers who fit this description must be automatically enrolled by their employer and contributing to their pension – unless they chose to opt out.
